Although winter never truly feels cold here in Los Angeles, California, I absolutely love getting in the Holiday spirit and really embracing the Christmas season. It reminds me of romance and passion. Merely because all my favourite old movies – such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s – portray love, happiness and lots of cuddles during cold weather. Most importantly, every movie in the 40’s and 50’s has incredible fashion; beautiful coats, long boots and let’s not forget – iconic hats.
I felt incredibly inspired to recreate my very own ‘Winter Romance’ outfit.
I decided to pair a gray patterned woolen dress with some flat knee-high boots and a red hat. Although these items can seem generic and easily found at every store for any price, when combined, they create a very bold and distinctive look. Some subtle accessories that helped this outfit are a belt to accentuate the feminine waist, a small black watch, some stockings and a simple black bag.
I am wearing:
- Wool dress purchased from a Korean store in New Zealand
- Vintage Chanel back, suede knee-high boots
- Marc Jacobs red hat
- Saint Laurent black handbag
- Vintage Hermes black watch
- Custom made thin, black belt from Thailand
- Thin, black stockings
