Summer is here and is in full-swing, which means it’s time to think about Pre-Fall. That means it’s time to ditch the sandals in favorite of this season’s hottest shoe: an Eastern-inspired mule with a few different style variations, as well as an option for every budget. This closed-toe beauty offers comfort and style, and stays Summer-esque by way of a light and bright color palette that is sure to turn heads!
My first pick from this trend are these beauties from Bottega Veneta, the “Almond Slingbacks in Nappa Dream,” which are slingback pumps with an almost three-inch heel. They are available in both Optic White and Nero, and are lined in nude, with both inner and outer material being nappa leather. These shoes feature an on-trend almond-shaped toe (hence the style name) and a mod, curvy heel, giving an elevated feel to just about any look!
Another favorite of mine for Pre-Fall is this pair of Stella McCartney dessert ballet flats. They are made of a vegan leather in the pinkish nude color Stella calls “dessert” and also feature the almond-shaped toe. An adorable detail I absolutely love is the delicate chain ankle strap with cute medallion charm that is an attached anklet, and really dresses up these simple and elegant shoes!
If you fancy flats, and are on a budget, you’re in luck: there’s an option from the Who What Wear x Target collection that is perfectly on trend, and very wallet-friendly! You may remember that I attended the Who What Wear x Target launch event and had fallen in love with quite a few of their elegant pieces. (LINK TO THAT BLOG) At only $34.99, these backless, flat mules won’t set you back too much, and will feel like house slippers (but you can keep that between you and me)! They are in a chic raffia material that is versatile and can be dressed up or down, and of course the almond pointed toe ensures you’re currently in fashion.
Finally, the Wave Slingback from Reike Nen offers a bolder, more geometric option for those loving that pointed toe – one with a squared-off platform beneath it. It’s made of supple and soft lamb leather, and lined with a latex insole. It has a very low kitten heel with a rounded chunky shape, and gold hardware on the slingback strap. Rubber soles on the 1cm platform will ensure comfort as this gorgeous shoe, which comes in a variety of fun and versatile colors can be worn from day-to-night. The exotic peep of an almost keyhole slit on the top of the foot provides foot flexibility as well as an intriguing statement design that is sure to catch attention!
