If you have been. paying attention to anything beauty-related the past few years, you’ll agree that the influence of Korean Beauty, affectionately known as “K-Beauty” is very strong! Some say that the reason the Koreans have the best beauty products is because they are focused on prevention as opposed to solutions, while others claim that since plastic surgery is so common, their beauty products have more fierce competition and must be innovative and effective. Either way, I’m loving everything K-Beauty and K-Beauty-inspired, and lip tints are one of those trends I can’t get enough of! Read on for more on why a good lip tint is a great replacement for fillers, as well as a list of lip tint products I love!
One of the reasons that lip tint became so popular is their staying power – both as a trend, and when you actually wear them! Because they don’t contain waxes or slippery substances like lipstick and lip glosses, they temporarily dye our lips, and don’t slip off like other lip products do!
There was also the trend of ombre and blurred lips both on the runway and on the streets, both of which are really easy to achieve using lip tints!
Are you sold yet? Now that I have you convinced that lip tints are what you need in your life, here’s a shopping list of a few I love!
Lip tint can come in a few different formats. One of the easiest to use is in a crayon-like form, like Mamond Creamy tint, which also comes in a wide variety of colors! It’s great because it isn’t messy at all, and stays on like a dream!
Another favorite of mine, which feels so luxurious, is Chanel Rouge Allure Liquid Powder. It is matte, heavily pigmented, and applies very evenly. Like lip tints do, it stays on very well and for a long time, as long as you don’t combine it with greasy food or cover it with a greasy lip gloss!
Multitasking is generally frowned upon from a productivity standpoint, but when we’re talking beauty and glamour, it’s the best, and that’s what I love about Guerlain Lip and Cheek Tint. It looks hot pink, but sheers out to give you a natural, flushed glow! Now all they need to do is add more shades!
An article or blog about Korean Beauty that doesn’t mention Tony Moly is suspect at best, so we have to recommend Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar. It’s inexpensive, has healthy ingredients like essential oils, works wonderfully, and has to be one of the cutest things we’ve ever seen. What more can you ask for?
Winky Lux Flower Balms are all over the ‘gram, and rightly so. They are beautiful, clear lipsticks (at least in appearance, since we’re talking lip tints here) with a real chrysanthemum inside, and they change color when. you put them on… That’s so instagrammable, it’s almost not fair! And one of the best parts – they are even scented! What’s not to love?
If you want to marry practical with glamorous, check out the Dior Addict Lip Glow. It has healthy ingredients for soft and kissable lips, and has a light and sheer application that leaves your lips tinted light pink. The color even intensifies after it interacts with your body heat a bit!
