Good afternoon ladies! Hope you’re all having a fantastic week so far. As I am sitting here on the couch, with my anti-radiation blanket over my preggo belly (I know…I wish you could see me right now), I wanted to share with you all some of my current favourite hair products that I couldn’t live without.
As you all may know by now, Los Angeles is very dry and sunny. Being pregnant, my hair tends to dry out a little more than usual too (hormones…grr). I have to make sure that I use the most nourishing and hydrating products out there, that won’t make my hair oily. Hydration is important to me because it can prevent premature split ends. That way, I won’t have to get as many trims.
These are my all time favourite hair products that never fail to deliver what they promise. I have been using each one of them for at least 1 year and I am still completely hooked!
Alterna The Science of 10 Shampoo & Conditioner
These are by far the most hydrating and transformative products I have found on the market. They are completely free of all nasty chemicals such as sulfates and parabens. Every time I use this shampoo and conditioner, my hair immediately softens as if the rough cuticles have just been coated with the perfect mix of oils and nutrients. My hair feels healthy, silky and shiny. At times, I like to change products because my hair can often get used to the same ingredients. However, I always go back to these two. I really like them!
Leonor Greyl Serum & Styling Spray
I have been a big fan of this brand for a long time. First of all, the packaging is perfect! (And, yes, that’s important.) Second, I don’t think you could ever go wrong with any of their products. Leonor Greyl uses only high grade natural ingredients that are environmentally safe. If I had to choose two products from their collection, these would be the winners.
I have been using this styling serum for almost two years now and I cannot see myself every giving up on it. I like to apply it after towel drying my hair and carefully combing it out. Some of my biggest hair concerns are frizziness, sun damage and hydration. This serum takes care of absolutely everything. I always bring it with me when I go on holiday. It makes me feel prepared for all climates.
I have never been a fan of hair sprays and stiff textures. Some days I do like to style my hair with a high ponytail when I go to the gym. I also like wearing a classy bun on romantic date nights. We all have little fly aways every now and then, right? I found this spray the best for me personally, because it has not made my hair sticky or rock solid like most hair sprays. It keeps all baby hairs perfectly in place.
Yves Durif Brush & Comb
Many of you may have seen me talk about wooden hair brushes on Youtube. Although I still use them every now and then, I have switched to these beautiful hand made jewels from Italy.
I like to use this cute Yves Durif comb after applying conditioner in the shower, to make sure the product has been evenly distributed. I also use it to part my hair after towel drying it. It is made from ivory-hued resin that is heat resistant and free of glue.
The Brush on the other hand, is the ultimate hair tool every girl needs in their bathroom. It is completely anti-static and gentle. This brush is made out of natural rubber resin. I like to massage my scalp with it and simply detangle my hair morning and evening.
Ouai, Frederic Fekkai & Oribe Must Haves
These products are the latest additions to my Holy-grail hair care routine. Although they are not the first on my list, I thought I’d still share them with you because I rely on them some days.
Ouai Wave Spray
This is a product I mainly use in summer. It creates the most perfect beachy, wavy texture, without leaving my hair feeling greasy. Once I get out of the shower, I usually towel dry my hair, part it and then spray this product throughout my mid lengths. Then I let my hair dry naturally.
Frederic Fekkai The Gifted One Multitasker
This product leaves your hair with the most addictive floral scent! I usually apply a little to my hair on special occasions (especially date nights). The Frederic Fekkai multipurpose product helps protect hair, smooth its texture and give it a bouncy shine.
Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil
This is my favourite hair oil. I have been using it since I moved to Los Angeles. It is not your conventional hair oil that leaves your hair feeling heavy and oily. I actually apply this to my hair almost every night before I go to bed. It is a very light, yet nourishing oil that instantly gets absorbed into your hair. The best part is that it makes your hair look shiny too! I highly recommend this product if you are someone scared of hair oils or have very dry, colour-treated hair.
Hope you guys enjoyed this and found it helpful. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me directly on Instagram or via email. Have an amazing weekend. Love you all!
P.s. Excited to share with you my first trimester pregnancy experience very soon . xo
